Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer with proven experience in solar (photovoltaic) projects, power plants, or substations—preferably within Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating civil designs that support large‑scale renewable energy and power infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical capability, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to ensure that all civil works meet engineering, safety, and regulatory standards.

As a Civil Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and technical support of civil works for solar power plants and related facilities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including electrical, project management, and site teams—to ensure seamless integration of civil designs throughout the project lifecycle. Your contributions will directly support the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of major energy projects across the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare civil drawings, layouts, and design documents for solar and power plant projects.
• Design and review site development plans, including grading, levelling, access roads, and drainage systems.
• Support the design of solar mounting structures, equipment foundations, and substation civil works.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and project teams to ensure design compatibility and smooth execution.
• Review and manage technical documents, engineering drawings, and project schedules.
• Assist in cost estimation, value engineering, and design optimization to improve efficiency.
• Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Provide technical support to site teams, including clarifications, updates, and design modifications.
• Maintain organized and up‑to‑date project documentation throughout all project phases.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably in solar, power plant, or substation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in photovoltaic (solar) projects.
• Strong understanding of civil works related to solar plants, substations, and power infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other civil design tools.
• Good command of Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

• Experience in site levelling, foundations, drainage design, and substation structures.
• Understanding of civil‑electrical interface requirements in solar and power projects.
• Exposure to construction activities, quality checks, and project coordination.
• Awareness of cost control, material optimization, and design efficiency improvements.
